Have you ever had an internship where onboarding meant orientation meetings, a blur of names you instantly forget, and long training videos, only to end up handed nothing but busy work? If that sounds familiar, then you already know the feeling of watching the clock, thinking to yourself, “Is this almost over?” or, “When does the actual training start?”
At Linden, we traded the usual onboarding for something a little more interesting. Welcome to Bootcamp.
So, what is Bootcamp?
Your first week as a new Linden co-op is an immersive onboarding experience built around hands-on training across Linden’s Design, Content, and Paid Ads teams, giving you insight into every aspect of the digital marketing agency. Rather than shadowing someone else’s work, you’re working closely with the other co-ops to apply everything you’ve learned to a group capstone project that will be presented at the end of the week.

Learn the Linden Way
Whether or not you have a background in design, content, or paid ads, your training starts with the basics and shows you how it’s used for real client work at Linden. You get cross-trained in all three, giving you a well-rounded view of how the agency operates as a whole. Most sessions follow the same layout: a presentation followed by an activity that’s designed to be incorporated into your capstone project.
Each session is led by a Linden expert who specializes in that area, so not only are you learning from someone who does this every day, you’re getting to know people across all three teams in the process. This builds a level of familiarity among team members and also highlights Linden’s culture and collaboration across teams, not just the one you’re assigned to.
Tying It All Together
Curious about what the capstone project entails? You and your fellow co-ops are tasked with building a full digital marketing strategy for a Linden initiative. The goal is to mirror real client work Linden performs, which involves strategic thinking, planning across channels, and creative execution. You’re taking what you’ve learned from each training session throughout the week and applying it toward your marketing strategy, which could actually be implemented as a real Linden service offering. On the final day of Bootcamp, your group will present the strategy to the whole team.
Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it sounds. The capstone project is meant to be a fun, creative, and collaborative way to become familiar with Linden’s teams and operations. It eases you into the kind of work you will be doing daily, so by the time you get your first client project, you’ll be ready.
More Than Just Onboarding
Bootcamp is a week of growth, learning, asking questions, and challenging yourself. From the get-go you start to feel like you’re part of the Linden team, not just a temporary intern assigned busy work. It sets the tone for the various projects you’ll take on and the ownership you’ll be given, so be prepared to hit the ground running for Week Two.
