GIVING
Linden's Contributions
Giving joy, offering love, helping others.
The Linden Team is currently based in the Rochester, NY area. This city that we call home means a lot to all of us, and we’re blessed to be able to give back to this community that has given so much to us.
We work closely with local organizations including RIT, Golisano Children’s Hospital PICU Unit, School Without Walls, and more. Many of our projects for local charities and organizations involve pro bono work and giving back through education and knowledge sharing opportunities and speaking events.
Putting for the PICU
Linden sponsors the Putting for the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) Golf Tournament organized by Joshua Fox, a nurse at Golisano Children’s Hospital. The PICU provides intensive care to critically ill and injured infants, children, and young adults.
In addition to being a tournament sponsor, Linden employees, family, and friends participate in the golf tournament and the team has volunteered marketing efforts to support this great cause.
All money raised goes directly to the unit and directly impacts the patients, families, nurses, and doctors on the unit. The event takes place every year in August with over 150 local golfers participating.
Funds raised in 2021 – $12,000
Funds raised in 2022 – $14,300
Rochester Baseball League
The Rochester Baseball League (RBL) is the premiere adult baseball league for the Greater Rochester area, made up of 27 teams and 500 players who play at 10 different locations throughout the tri-county Rochester area.
Sponsoring this league was a no-brainer for us. RBL helps fund the organization and operation of the league, including league and umpire fees, field rentals, maintenance, and team equipment expenses.
School Without Walls Golf Scramble
The School Without Walls partners with ‘ROC the Possibilities’ to organize a golf tournament to benefit the upcoming Class of 2023 seniors. The Linden Team donated a website and also sponsors this event. This tournament raises funds to cover senior year expenses of students who are unable to afford them, including prom, caps and gowns, and end-of-year trips and events.
Rochester Institute of Technology
As most of us at Linden are RIT alumni, we always seek ways to give back to our alma mater, support current students, and share our marketing knowledge with the Saunders College of Business. We believe giving back with knowledge and education is just as important as giving back with hard skills and marketing tactics. Linden is proud to remain actively involved with RIT. Linden’s growing events at RIT include:
- 2021 RIT Entrepreneurial Speaker Series
Hosted by the Simone Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurial Speaker Series invites guest speakers to share their entrepreneurial journey, life lessons, and success stories. Lindsay shared her story with RIT students in hopes to inspire and motivate students interested in pursuing entrepreneurship and launching their own businesses. - 2022 Women’s Leadership Summit (TED Talk & Summit Workshop Session)
The Leadership Academy at Saunders College of Business hosts their annual Women’s Leadership Summit. Lindsay Connelly shared her TEDTalk entitled “The First Three Years,” recalling her entrepreneurial journey in hopes of inspiring other women to make the leap and launch their own businesses. Michele and Elyse followed with their workshop titled, “4 Marketing Essentials for Launching Your Business.” They discussed four actionable and results-driven initiatives to kick off marketing for your growing business. The event incorporates an impressive audience of dedicated scholars, professionals, and students who share their stories and experiences to carve out more leadership roles for women. - RIT Saunders College of Business – Biz 2 Judging
The Linden team has been invited to Saunders’ first-year business student presentations, where we sit on a panel of judges composed of business professionals to evaluate students’ business plans and provide constructive feedback for advanced hands-on learning from industry experts.
