Psst… we’re hiring: E-Commerce Digital Marketing Specialist

Linden Co-Op Bootcamp

Setting our student employees up for success

Whether you’re just starting in industry or have been a working professional, a new job at a new company is a jolt of nerves and excitement. This is particularly true for college students at their first internships or co-ops.
What software do they use? Did I forget to set up my payroll? I wonder what my manager will be like? I hope my team is nice! I wonder what I will be working on?

The first week of work is crucial for both the employer and the employee as it sets the tone for what to expect in the working environment and the job role. At Linden, all new co-op hires go through the Linden Bootcamp, an extensive educational training program that sets our new student employees up for success.

Linden New Hire Bootcamp

To ensure a seamless onboarding and ramp-up experience for new student hires, we established the Linden Co-Op Bootcamp Program. Linden’s Bootcamp provides new hires a space to deep dive into our Linden pillars, build their skill set, and apply lessons learned in the bootcamp sessions to real-life work challenges starting day one.

Some Bootcamp Session Topics:

  • Onboarding & Tooling Seminar
  • Website Development Basics
  • Pixel Installation & Tracking
  • Digital Ad Platforms
  • Content & Design Fundamentals
  • Blog Posting, SEO, & Keyword Research
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Google Analytics & Tag Manger
  • Looker Studio Reporting

Client and Company Benefits

At Linden, many of our employees started as student workers. While Co-Ops and internships provide invaluable career benefits to students, they also offer significant advantages to our clients and our company.

  • Internal Training & Leadership: Mentoring our Co-Ops encourages full-time employees to refine their own expertise, conduct research, and improve how they communicate their skills. Teaching reinforces what we know and strengthens our team’s overall capabilities.
  • Fresh Perspectives: Many marketing trends emerge among college students and young professionals. Having younger team members keeps us ahead of trends as they unfold, ensuring we stay relevant and up to date.
  • Operational Support & Efficiency: Co-Ops and interns help with executing tasks, allowing senior strategists to focus on high-level planning, innovation, and client strategy. Their support enhances productivity and ensures that projects move forward smoothly.

Future Plans

The success of our first Co-Op Boot Camp has inspired us to expand the program to include all new employees, not just student workers.

We’re also exploring the possibility of offering Boot Camp as a standalone service for clients looking to upskill their current marketing employees or train new team members more effectively.
